Greg had just bought a book from a bookshop down the streets before decided to take a bus up to the cliffs. He wondered if he will be able to catch the sunset this evening. Usually, he would miss it due to being so focus on his book and by the time he realised it was late, the sky was dark. He took the correct bus from the station before looking out of the window, enjoying the nice scenery and breeze from the sea.
He looked around and realised there was only a few people on. He wondered if he took the right bus as usually the bus to the cliffs were crowded. He shrugged slightly before getting down once he arrived. He noticed his favourite spot was not taken and quickly get seated down. He looked around before opening his book and started reading. Before he knew, he was so focus on it once again.

Summer was suppose to head to the cliffs two hours ago.She had totally forgotten about it and let her afternoon nap run a little longer then usual. It was not exactly her fault though. The afternoon had been so draggy and boring that she had fallen asleep on the couch. It was only an hour ago she had woken up to realise she was late for her meeting. She had taken another hour to take a shower and get dressed. She had slipped into a purple tank top and black skinny jeans.Summer took one last look around her room to see if everything was tidy and grabbed her jacket, heading downstairs.
She took her car keys and slipped on her sneakers then rushed out the door. She got into her car and drove there as quickly as she could. In her rush she had totally forgotten to take her cellphone along with her.She parked her car looking around. The place was quite filled to her surpirse. She serched her hand bag for her phone to call her friends but could not seem to find it.''Shoot!'',she muttered and looked around the clearing for her friends.Summer walked into the clearing wondering where they were but she tripped over someones leg and fell. She sat up rubbing her elbow.''I'm really sorry!'',she apologised quickly to the person after she realised she had interupted his reading.

Greg was totally engross in his reading till someone had block his sunlight and little did he knew, the person fell by tripping on his legs. He got shocked a little before looking around wondering what was going on, only seeing a lady sitting on the ground, rubbing her elbow. Greg blushed slightly from meeting someone new, not to mention an attractive lady. He swallowed his fear and started to stammer as he spoke to her. "Ar...Are y...you...al...alright?"
Greg closed his book and placed it at the side of him before getting up to help her up onto the steps he was sitting on, next to him. He quickly let go of her arm, not wanted her to think otherwise. He gulped a little before looking away, thinking of something to say. "You don't have to apologise...It..It's my fault...sti..sticking my leg..." Greg felt bad as his reading got the better of him. He looked back at her, trying not to lose his focus and just looking at the face and slightly off the sky.

Summer looked at him as he stammered.''Yea i'm fine...but are you ok?'',she asked a little concerned about his stammering. She paused for a moment.''Don't take it the wrong way I meant more of errr...I hope i didn't cause you to stammer'',she said quickly realising that some people were naturally like that. She did not want to hurt his feelings especially not after she had tripped over his leg and distrupted his reading session.
She let him help her up and bring her to steps beside him.''Thank you for your help and its not your fault i should have seen where i was going'',she said while smiling at him sweetly and hitting the back of her head gently in stupidity.''Are you alone here?'',she asked curiously noticing he was not sitting with anyone. It was quite werid actually. She mostly guessed that only couples came here to watch the sunset or something.

Greg looked at her and shook his head slightly. He did not want her to misunderstood him, even though she already was. He sighed softly before taking his book and placed it another side just in case he or she moved would step or sit on it. He looked at the sky and realised only a few more moments till the sun sets. He turned and looked back at her, smiling slightly, all thanks to her sweet smile.
"I...I am fine...I'm jus...just not use...to...talking to...attractive...people like you...I mean...I'm bad...at...chatting with ne...ew...people." Greg blushed slightly when he mentioned she was attractive. He looked away as he finished saying his sentence. He hugged his legs near to him and rested his head on the knees. "Yo...ou...don't have to thank me...Ye...ass...I am alone. A...re you too?" That's when Greg looked back at her once again.

Summer watched his eyes as they flickered to the sky for a few moments. She followed them to realise that the sun was actually going to set soon. She looked back at him with a smile. She was going to make a new friend today ..atleast she hoped she was going to.She heard his reply and raised an eyebrow while looking at him.''Are you serious?'',she asked doubtfully.''You haven't spoken to your reflection in the mirror yet?...cause i think your attractive too'',she said while smiing at him.
''Hmmmm...the more new people you meet the better you get right?'',she asked while turning to look at the sky.She then turned to look back at him once more, only to notice him hugging his knees. He looked really cute to her at the moment and she giggled softly at him.''Your cute'',she said keeping the giggle in her voice.Summer was never one to keep her thoughts to herself. She always spoke her mind when given the chance.''Well,im actually kinda lost...I came here looking for my friends but i don't know where they are so i thought it might be better to make a new friend instead'',she looked at him with a smile. She was refering to him as a new friend and she hoped he did not mind it.

Greg looked at the sky before looking back at Summer. He was finding a little weird, it seemed she was fine with him acting like this. He did blushed when she mentioned him being attractive. He quickly looked away, plus the mentioning of cute, Greg could feel the heat of his body rising. He cleared his throat for a moment before speaking to her. "L...lost? Do you need any help finding your friends? Though...I don't think I could help much...even if they had walked past in front of me...before..."
Greg felt stupid for wanted to help her yet realised he could do nothing about it. The sun was setting, Greg quickly got up, grabbed his book, slotting into his pocket, which fits perfectly, standing against the railings, looking at the sun sets. "So...Have you met any new friends?" Greg looked at her before glancing back at the sunset. "It's amazing...well...to me at least...finally got to see it actually sets." Greg faced the sun fully narrowing his eyes due to the rays of the sun.

Summer watched him blushed and she smiled widely. He was getting even more cuter by the minute. She had never seen a guy who was so humble before. If she had said that to one of the guys she knew,he would have made a big deal out of it.She guessed that he must be one of those rare attractive boys girls usually talked to in their dreams. She heard him speak again and she focused, trying not to let her mind wonder away.''Did i mention i was suppose to meet them like..'',she paused to look at her watch then continued,''2 hours and 45 minutes ago?''.She smiled innocently at him.
Summer watched him get up and take his book along. She thought that he was going to leave and that she had offended him somehow. It made her a little upset cause she did not mean to do it.A frown tugged at her lips until she watched him lean against the railing of the steps. He was not leaving. The very thought made her smile.Maybe she had made a new friend after all.She heard his question then smiled as she replied,''Well im talking to him right now but i don't really know if he wants to be friends with me''.She looked at him for a few seconds then turned to look at the sunset. It was beautiful.''It's a sight one should never miss'',she replied without actually knowing what she said.Summer had always had a mysterious connection with the sun.She also guessed that was why her parents gave her,her name.It was related to the sun in a way.

Greg looked at her as she spoke about the way the sun set was. He quickly turned his attention to her when she mentioned the timing she was suppose to meet them. That was a very long time, he was not sure what to do now. Clearly he was delaying her time even longer. He felt bad, which caused him to stammer once again. "Y...ou...no..ot...going to im...inform them? Do...th..they...cal...ll...you ba...ack?"
Greg felt a little uncomfortable with the stammering, he hoped she understood what he was trying to say. He recalled what she had spoke to him about meeting new friends. Did she meant him? "The...talking to him...Do you...mean me? Be...cause...I did not get your name...neither did you get mine...yet..." Greg fiddled his fingers slightly while wondering if she meant that way, otherwise, he just made a fool out of himself into the next century.

Summer only turned to look at him when she heard his voice. She had been totally engrossed with the sun setting. She always loved the sun.''Well....I knida left my phone back at home in my rush so i can't really contact them at the moment'',she replied him a little disappointed with herslef and with a frown. She heard him ask another question and she waited from him to finish it so she could fully understand what he was asking.''They probably would have called but idid not really take a look at my phone when i woke up and paniced after looking at the clock'',she confesed while looking at him.
Summer turned back to the sunset and admired it once again. When he spoke about her meeting new friends, she giggled. He was a little slow with taking hints.Summer stood up and turned to face him.She then held out her hand towards him cheerily,''I'm Summer,Summer Roberts!''..If this was what he required for him to understand she wanted to be friends with him then being his friend was not going to be so hard.''Does this make us friends?'',she asked curiously while looking at her hand and smiling innocently. Her eyes flickered back to his once more as she waited for him to respond.
